President to Launch Nkoko Nketenkete Program on Wednesday at Kumasi__Dr Frank Amoakohene

In a landmark event scheduled for this Wednesday, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana will officially launch the Nkoko Nketenkete Program, a transformative initiative aimed at revitalizing poultry farming across the nation.

The Nkoko Nketenkete Program, part of the government’s broader Feed Ghana agenda, is designed to empower over 20,000 young farmers, especially women and agripreneurs, through training, resources, and access to markets.

Phase I will target 10,000 beneficiaries between now and the end of 2026.

The launch comes after months of stakeholder consultations and a postponed rollout earlier this year.

The program promises to support both large-scale poultry producers and small household operations, with a vision to boost local production and reduce reliance on imports.

“This is not just a poultry initiative. It’s a youth empowerment strategy, a rural development tool, and a bold step toward food sovereignty.

The President is expected to unveil a roadmap that includes training hubs, research centers, and public-private partnerships to sustain the program long-term.

The event will draw farmers, agribusiness leaders, and development partners from across the country.
