Two feared dead, six rescued in Ahafo road accident — GNFS Report

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has confirmed the rescue of six persons following a fatal road crash at Kwasu, near the Bechem–Techimantia road in the Ahafo Region, which claimed two lives.

The accident, which occurred around 1:45 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, involved a Toyota Voxy with registration number AS 6403-25.

According to a GNFS report, a seven-member rescue team from the Bechem Fire Station, led by ASTNO Kwaku Doe, responded swiftly to the scene. Two victims were found dead and handed over to the Police, while six others were rescued and conveyed to the Bechem Government Hospital by the National Ambulance Service for treatment.

The vehicle was extensively damaged, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The GNFS has since urged motorists to observe road safety regulations and remain vigilant to avoid preventable accidents, especially during the festive season.
