Ashanti Regional Association Of Rural Banks Directors Schooled


The Ashanti Regional Rural Bank Directors Association from various rural banks have been schooled in a transformative workshop aimed at modernizing banking practices and enhancing financial inclusion.

The training, which was held at Ejisu_ Fomesua focused on digital transformation, customer-centric services, and financial technology integration.

Speaking to the President of the Association,Dr Emmanuel Obeng describe the training as timely.
” As rural banks, we must evolve to meet the changing needs of our communities. Learning about mobile banking, cyber security, and data-driven decision-making is a game-changer.”

The workshop also emphasized the importance of transparency, good stewardship, and diversification in banking operations. Organizers say the goal is to empower directors to lead with innovation and integrity.

We’re preparing these directors to not only manage their institutions effectively but also to become champions of financial literacy and inclusion in their districts.”

With over 20 rural banks operating in the Ashanti Region, the initiative is expected to ripple across the sector, improving access to financial services for thousands of Ghanaians.
