Kwamanman Rural Bank PLC Supports Six MMDAs in Ashanti Region for National Farmers Day Celebration
Kwamanman Rural Bank PLC has supported six Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in the Ashanti Region with logistics to commemorate the 2025 National Farmers Day celebrations
In a strong show of commitment to agricultural development and rural empowerment, Kwamanman Rural Bank PLC has extended logistical support to six Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in the Ashanti Region as part of the 2025 National Farmers Day celebrations.
The beneficiary MMDAs include Sekyere Central, Sekyere South,Kwabre East,Tafo Municipal,Kejetia, Tanoso, Amakom and Mampong Municipal Assembly. The support package comprised essential logistics such as spraying machines, wellington boots, cutlasses, which were distributed respectively to the assemblies to augment the efforts of the gallant farmers.
Speaking at a brief presentation ceremony held at the premises of the MMDAs the Chief Accountant at the aforementioned financial institution Mr Daniel Kofi Ablakwa, emphasized the bank’s long-standing commitment to rural development and agricultural financing.
“Farmers are the backbone of our economy, and it is only right that we recognize and support their efforts, especially on a day set aside to honor their contributions,” he stated.
The District Chief Executives (DCEs) of the beneficiary assemblies expressed profound gratitude to the bank for its timely intervention. They noted that the items would go a long way in motivating farmers and enhancing productivity in their respective districts.
The gesture aligns with the bank’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, which prioritizes agriculture, education, and community health.
Over the years, Kwamanman Rural Bank has consistently supported National Farmers Day activities, reinforcing its role as
keystakeholder in Ghana’s rural economic transformation.
This year’s National Farmers Day, held under the theme “Delivering Smart Solutions for Sustainable Food Security and Resilience”, saw hundreds of farmers across the country being recognized for their hard work and innovation in agriculture.
Kwamanman Rural Bank’s support has been widely lauded by stakeholders in the agricultural sector, with many calling on other financial institutions to emulate the bank’s example in promoting sustainable rural development.
