In a bold declaration of intent, the newly confirmed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Asante Mampong, Hon. Yakubu Yussif, has signaled a transformative agenda aimed at revolutionizing the educational landscape of the municipality.
Speaking during inaugural ceremony of two units class room block at Nobem ,Hon. Yakubu emphasized that education will be a cornerstone of his administration’s development strategy.
“We are not merely improving education—we are transmogrifying it,” he stated, invoking a vision of radical change that goes beyond incremental reform.
According to him, the following initiative has been layed
Plans to renovate dilapidated school buildings and construct new facilities in underserved communities.
– Teacher Empowerment: Initiatives to support professional development and incentivize rural postings.
– Digital Integration: Introduction of smart classrooms and digital literacy programs to prepare students for a tech-driven future.
– Community Engagement: Collaboration with traditional leaders and parents to foster a culture of academic excellence.
Hon. Yakubu, a former Assembly Member for Kofiase Ahenbronum and NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Mampong in the 2024 elections, pledged to work hand-in-hand with stakeholders to ensure that every child in Mampong has access to quality education.
“Sanitation, health, infrastructure, and education—these are not just priorities. They are the pillars of our future,” he affirmed.
